It has a very unique vibe and culture. So let us show you a little bit of Polish countryside on this one-day tour. 

DESCRIPTION

Zakopane, so called “the winter capital of Poland”, is beautiful in every season and the mountains around are just breathtaking. The cable car that will take you up to the top of Gubalowka hill with the beautiful view of Tatra Mountains. On the tour the guide will take you to the wooden hut – Bacowka, where you will see and try famous mountain cheese at the place of its origin. The guide will show you the oldest and picturesque street in Zakopane – Krupowki. This is the best place to buy local souvenirs and feel the local atmosphere.

ITINERARY

PICK UP

During booking this tour you may choose the place which suits you the most from the  pick-up point list. Just wait in front of the building a few minutes before the agreed time. 

TRANSFER TO ZAKOPANE 

Usually the journey takes about 2 hours, but very much depends on road and weather conditions. See and admire Polish landscapes, from little hills around Krakow until the picturesque peaks of Tatra Mountains. 

STOP AT “Bacowka” 

On the way to Zakopane you will visit the wooden house – Bacowka. That is the place where mountain shepherds make local smoked cheese – “Oscypek”. You will be able to try different types of it and hear about how it is produced. Try it, it is really tasty!

THE HEART OF ZAKOPANE – KRUPOWKI

Krupowki is a central and the main market street in Zakopane. It is definitely one of the most popular places there. Full of souvenirs, restaurants, street food and tourists. Our guide will give you some recommendations and give you free time to spend there. 

TOP VIEW OF THE MOUNTAINS 

You will ride the funicular to the top of Gubalowka. Gubalowka is not the highest peak of Tatra Mountains, but is absolutely one of the best places to admire picturesque views of Tatras, Zakopane and the whole region.

BACK TO KRAKOW

In the afternoon it will be time to leave and drive back to Krakow, where our driver will drop you off back at your original departure point.

If you have not chosen any pick-up place – please wait for the driver near the entrance to the building at Plac Szczepański 8 (Szczepanski Square 8). We recommend that you arrive approximately 15 minutes before the departure time (unless otherwise provided with the day before departure).
